Enoch Kotha
Enoch Kotha is a passionate maths teacher with over 12 years of experience. His approach is centered on fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts while simultaneously cultivating critical thinking and problem-solving skills. He believes in tailoring his teaching methods to each student’s unique learning style, ensuring that they grasp the fundamental principles of mathematics. He keeps his sessions interactive and collaborative, encouraging students to actively participate in discussions and explore different problem-solving strategies. By providing comprehensive explanations, targeted practice, and continuous support, he aims to empower students with the confidence and skills needed to excel in the curriculum.
Mihaela Stan
Mihaela is an experienced international educator with 16 years in curriculum design, instruction, and leadership. Passionate about helping students approach math with curiosity and resilience, she challenges the idea that math is only for a select few. Now in her 4th year at AIS Singapore, Mihaela teaches IGCSE/IB Math and TOK. As Deputy Head of the Math Department, she oversees curriculum implementation and leads the Math Olympiads CCA, drawing on her experience as a former participant. Previously, she spent 13 years at ISB in Bucharest as HOD and has led PD workshops for Lumina schools in Romania, fostering collaborative, student-centered teaching. She has also organized competitions like Informatrix and Lumina Math. Mihaela holds a BA and MS in Pure Math and an MS in IT.
