Welcome to our community of IB science teachers passionate about growing young scientists! Together, we will collaborate on how to promote enthusiastic student learning in science. All science teachers, novice to veteran, are welcome to join this inclusive community. In this community, we will build a network of partners who share a desire to develop students with a strong foundation of scientific knowledge and skills that lead to success in the IB diploma and beyond. We will share triumphs, challenges, and resources as we support each other in fostering an energizing and engaging environment for our curious future scientists.

Justin Babcock
Justin Babcock is an experienced educator at the International School of Ho Chi Minh City, where he has dedicated over a decade to fostering a love of science and innovation. As an IB Physics teacher and Science Department Learning Leader, Justin inspires students to excel academically. Before his teaching career, he conducted cutting-edge research in live cell imaging and cancer research and served as a lecturer for Loyola University’s study abroad program in Vietnam. Currently, Justin is actively engaged in building his school’s robotics program and revitalizing the annual international school science fair, enriching the educational experience for students and fostering a vibrant scientific community
Debalina Saha
With over a decade of experience in International Baccalaureate (IB) education and eight years in leadership roles, Debalina Saha brings extensive expertise in curriculum development, teaching, and instructional leadership. Based in Singapore for 11 years, Debalina has worked across IB, Advanced Placement (AP), and IGCSE curricula, showcasing versatility and a global perspective in education.
As Head of High School Science, Debalina is dedicated to promoting student-centred, holistic education that empowers learners with agency, voice, and choice. Under her leadership, the science team successfully revamped the curriculum, enhancing student engagement and performance through data-driven insights while fostering creativity and critical thinking.
